AFF INTENSIVE WEEKEND WORKSHOPS

🎬 Transform Your Acting  at an

AFF Intensive Scene Study Workshop

Push Your Craft Beyond Limits

Step into a weekend designed to take your work further than you thought possible. In this immersive two-day intensive, you’ll experience a powerful blend of self-discovery, artistic growth, and real-world industry preparation — crafted for actors who are ready to break limits and raise their game.

What Makes This Intensive Different

  • Tailored Coaching
Every actor’s journey is unique. I take the time to understand your strengths, challenges, and goals — helping you overcome roadblocks and unlock your full potential.

  • Scene Selection with Purpose
Material is handpicked to stretch your range, challenge your instincts, and open new creative doors.

  • Real-World Simulation
You’ll train under the same high-pressure conditions actors face on professional film and television sets.

  • Comprehensive Craft Development
Expand your physicality, vocal range, and emotional depth — integrating mind, body, and voice to deliver fully embodied performances that connect.

The Weekend Structure

This intensive mirrors the conditions of a professional set: minimal prep time, high expectations, and the need to trust your instincts. It’s where intuition, imagination, and confidence grow.

Day 1

Morning: First Work – Warm-up, run your scene with your partner, then dive into constructive, in-depth feedback — just like a camera rehearsal.
Afternoon: Second Work – Multiple takes with focused coaching to refine every beat. You’ll also receive your new scene and partner for Day 2.

Day 2

Morning: First Work – Present your new scene and repeat the Day 1 process with fresh material.
Afternoon: Second Work – More takes, deeper exploration, sharper execution.

Why Actors Love This Intensive

By the end of the weekend, you’ll not only sharpen your technical craft but also strengthen your confidence, adaptability, and presence. This isn’t classroom theory — it’s training that prepares you for the real demands of the industry.

The Fun Of Acting Shakespeare
Workshop

🎭 An 8-Week Shakespeare Intensive with Jock MacDonald

Transform Your Craft -

Not Just Your Shakespeare

After the overwhelming success of our previous Shakespeare workshops, we’re bringing it back: an 8-week deep dive designed to elevate not only your Shakespearean acting, but your entire craft.

Through extensive physical and vocal training, you’ll develop the tools, insight, and confidence to approach Shakespeare’s language with ease — and, just as importantly, to enjoy it.

You’ll learn to:

  • Learn lines quickly

  • Uncover the story beneath any script

  • Find the emotional truth of any character — classical or contemporary

Whether your goal is to shine on the Shakespearean stage or strengthen your work in film, television, and modern theatre, this intensive will sharpen every aspect of your performance.

About Your Coach

I trained in Shakespeare at BADA, Oxford University, England, and performed major roles across three seasons of professional Shakespeare festivals. My passion is simple: making Shakespeare feel alive, exciting, and accessible.

THE LOS ANGELES WORKSHOP

🎭 Los Angeles In-Person Acting Workshops

with Jock MacDonald

A Workshop Unlike Any Other

From New York to Paris, I’ve led in-person acting workshops for decades — working with actors in New York, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Dublin, and Paris. Now, for the first time, I’m bringing this work to Los Angeles.

This isn’t about learning another “method” or “technique.” It’s about discovering your own way of acting — the unique truth and presence that’s already inside you. My role is to help you strip away what’s in the way so you can step into that truth fully, whether on stage, on camera, or in the audition room.

What You’ll Experience

  • Scene + Monologue Work
Perform and receive live, in-depth coaching.

  • Hands-On Guidance
Real-time discoveries and adjustments in the room.

  • Personalized Approach
Not tricks or shortcuts — but helping you uncover the actor you already are.

  • Small Groups
Limited actors per workshop to ensure maximum attention and growth.

Why This Matters

Actors often get stuck trying to fit into someone else’s process. The industry pushes techniques, methods, and “shoulds” that can leave you disconnected from yourself.

These workshops are different. Together, we’ll focus on unlocking your truth as an actor — so your auditions come alive, your self-tapes stand out, and your performances connect deeply with audiences.
